There’s something special about the moments no one thinks to plan for.
The way you reach for each other without thinking. The breath you take before the doors open. Your best friend laughing so hard they can barely stand. A parent watching from across the room. The five seconds of quiet you share together before the celebration begins again.
Those are the moments I want to notice.
I’ve always been drawn to the way photographs can hold onto a feeling. Not just what a room looked like or what everyone was wearing, but the atmosphere of it all, the people who filled the space, the laughter that echoed through it, and the tiny interactions that might otherwise disappear into the blur of the day.
Of course, I want your images to be beautiful. But beautiful isn't enough. I want them to feel like you. Honest, emotional, a little imperfect, and pulsing.
I'll give you guidance where it helps, but I won't ask you to spend your wedding performing for a camera. My job is to create space for you to experience the day while I quietly pay attention to everything unfolding around you.
Because choosing a photographer is about more than photographs. You're inviting someone into some of the most meaningful hours of your life. I want that experience to feel easy, comfortable, and genuinely enjoyable.

On Social Media, I photograph strangers in Iowa City because it reminds me of what it means to be human.
What started as a simple idea- walking up to someone unfamiliar, listening, and taking their photo… has shaped everything about how I see people and tell stories. It’s never been about perfect light or poses. It’s about connection, trust, and noticing what’s real first. That project became the foundation of how I approach every shoot. It taught me how to make people feel comfortable and how to capture moments that feel like them.
