Every good story has moments that change everything.
A hand held a little tighter. A deep breath before walking down the aisle. A glance across the room that says everything without a single word. Those are the moments I'm drawn to.
Maybe that's because I love stories. The kind found in well-worn books, long revealing conversations, and roads that lead somewhere new. They've taught me that the most meaningful things in life are rarely the ones money can buy. It’s the subtle glances, the people, and the magic in the mundane you have to look for, or it’ll simply slip by…
My goal isn't only to make beautiful photographs. Many can do that. It's to preserve what can't be recreated: the joy, the nervous excitement, the embrace that lingered a little longer, and the incomprehensible that will only happen once. Additionally, your photographer is the person you will likely spend the most time with on your big day. My goal is to make sure it’s a time of equal parts fun and reverence. Smooth and stable.

On Social Media, I photograph strangers in Iowa City because it reminds me of what it means to be human.
What started as a simple idea- walking up to someone unfamiliar, listening, and taking their photo… has shaped everything about how I see people and tell stories. It’s never been about perfect light or poses. It’s about connection, trust, and noticing what’s real first. That project became the foundation of how I approach every shoot. It taught me how to make people feel comfortable and how to capture moments that feel like them.
